Five Advantages of the Holy Spirit

1. God’s love is POURED OUT in our hearts

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. [Romans 5:5 ESV]

2. Our salvation is SEALED

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. [Ephesians 1:13 ESV]

3. We receive a Heavenly GIFT

On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.” [Acts 1:4 NIV]

4. We receive POWER

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” [Acts 1:8 ESV]

5. We receive HELP

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance all that I have said to you. [John 14:26 ESV]

In fact, the Holy Spirit is so much our Helper that Jesus said it is to our advantage that he go away so that The Holy Spirit can come into our lives:

Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. [John 16:7 ESV]

As you believe God for these FIVE Advantages of the Holy Spirit to be made manifest in your life, think about the awesomeness of this truth: If you profess Jesus as your Lord & Savior, then The Holy Spirit is ALREADY living in you!

You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact, the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. [Romans 8:9 ESV]

And, He is praying FOR and THROUGH you!

Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. [Romans 8:26 ESV]
