Here are five ways that you can win the battles that you face in life!
1. Recognize the War - Ephesians 6:12 NLT
Your enemies are not named Beulah or Freddy. Personalities may be involved but they are not central to your struggles. Instead, you are wrestling against principalities and powers of the air.
Recognizing the reality of the unseen realm, choose to join the winning team:
2. Submit to God - James 4:7 NLT
There is a winner and a loser. And, at the back of the book, The Bible declares the winner will be -- and already is -- the one true God. Start the path to winning by submitting yourself to the ultimate victor, Jesus. Get on the right team! Humble yourself before God because you can't win this thing without Him.
Since you’re on the winning team, put on the jersey:
3. Put on the Armor - Ephesians 6:10-11 NLT
Paul instructed us to put on spiritual armor and prepare ourselves for the fight. But it requires intentionality. Familiarize yourself with the armor of God. Go through the list of armor daily (Ephesians 6) and pray for each piece to be applied to your life.
Submitting to God and putting on the armor is game-changing, but it is not enough. You must also activate your warfare:
4. Resist the Devil - James 4:7 NLT
There is a difference between ignoring the devil and resisting the devil. If someone was breaking into your home, you would not ignore it. You would get up and form a resistance to let the intruder know, “Wrong room! You’re not coming through this door.”
One of the best ways to formulate resistance is to call in an air raid:
5. Bring Heaven Down - Matthew 6:10 NIV
Jesus taught us, “When you pray, you should say, Lord, let your kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” When Heaven comes down… There is deliverance. There is freedom. There is healing. There is salvation. Depression, sickness, addiction all cease to exist! Because Heaven is overflowing with peace, freedom, and joy! Bring Heaven down.
Because Jesus has already paid the price for your victory... You can win! Recognize the spiritual war that is being waged against you. Submit to God. Put on the armor. Ready yourself for the fight as you choose to resist the devil. And, be intentional about choosing to never stop inviting Heaven to come down into your life, family, and situation!
